Anybody know of a company making a slick or really smooth semi-slick thats made for 29'ers??
I guess i can ride a 700 x 50ish tired but I was looking for something a little beefier..
Im doingthe 5 boruogh bike tour again and wanted to use the EWR.. but i'm trying to avoid killing my nevegals

I have Kenda Khans - heavy but an awesome touring tyre IMO.

Also maybe Vulpines? Nanos roll pretty well on road too.

Specialized had something too, can't remember the name, might not quite have been 50 wide though...not sure.

edit: How could I forget THE 29er slick - Schwalbe BIG APPLE - 29x2.0 or 2.35.

Yeah, Big Apple if he's looking for a "real" 29er tire. If it were me, given the intended use, I'd grab a pair of Panaracer Paselas from Nashbar in the 700x35 size with the TourGuard puncture protection. Or spend double that for a pair of Nanoraptors and run that as the rear on the EWR for trail duty, too.

specialized Armadillo in standard 700 cc sizes .. you'll go faster and further with less resistance
