Ok, so my mind was opened a bit about ebikes today. It made a 3 hour ride with almost 3000 feet of climbing possible for my 13 year old, without it he would have just been on his nintendo switch all day. I bonked a little too, and took the opportunity to ride the last, hardest climb on one, it was stupid fun. (The ride was mixed 50/50 ebikes and regular bikes).
No judgement, just my experience today.
Magico. The full moon, the red sun going down into the ocean, the deep blue sky, the perfect temperature, and great company. 4500 foot desc I am one lucky bastard.
So, today i got to experience a dream of mine, enjoying the Peruvian medical system. I put a cactus thorn all the way through my finger, which was super fun. I went to a private clinic just as an infection precaution, and we werent sure if it was still in there or not. Cost about $250 for a consult, meds, and an ultrasound, what in the hell is wrong with America. And no, i'm not pregnant.
But a stupid fun ride called Olleros, more details later.
For now some pics.
That’s the ocean far off in the distance, this is the start of the DH
Its kinda nuts. People take it super-serious, as the medical support doesnt exist. Absolutely mandatory mask usage. But no damn tourists such as myself so far (Macchu Picchu will be different).
